In the 6thth minute of the game Honorato Normando who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Gaizkine in the 8th minute of play forced Gyál United's goalkeeper Sándor Jászberényi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Balázs Berta during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Potrero's Honorato Normando dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. C. A. Potrero's Ciriaco Gaizkine got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciriaco Gaizkine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to C. A. Potrero getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Honorato Normando hit a great ball. With a little luck, Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi got control of the ball when Ciriaco Gaizkine tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorato Normando to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Gaizkine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Potrero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gyál United the free kick. After 51 played minutes C. A. Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Gaizkine. István Juhászs short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Justo Dunixi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Severiano Lluterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Jászberényi having to interfere. Honorato Normando scored 4-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sándor Jászberényi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Gyál United booed when C. A. Potrero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Tabor didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Vajda came free, but Justo Dunixi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gyál United's zone, Honorato Normando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sándor Jászberényi came out of the goal and Honorato Normando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Gaizkine cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Sándor Jászberényi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Honorato Normando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sándor Jászberényi was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Honorato Normando put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sándor Jászberényi. C. A. Potrero's Clemente Ezkerra was substituted for Honorato Normando. Clemente Ezkerra scored 8-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sándor Jászberényi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
