Jim Sutton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Danny Seagrave kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Santos Montel made a precise shot to the right of Jim Sutton. Manchester City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. In the 24th match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Seagrave to maneuver through the defense. Santos Montel scored 5-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jim Sutton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Santos Montel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Rio Cuarto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. But to his dismay, Angelo Deunoro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 73 minutes into the game, Marcelo Roldan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Rio Cuarto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester City the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Roldan to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Rio Cuarto made a substitution.
