Spectators: 7464 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hans Björkqvist started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Fårdala FF's goal looked a bit too open when Stevie Colman came free, but Sonny Brodin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hjalmar Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Carey in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Brodin saved Fårdala FF from getting behind. Stevie Colman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Sonny Brodin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stevie Colman got free with Sonny Brodin in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manchester City's Anthony Carey got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sonny Brodin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevie Colman in the 24th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Anthony Carey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sonny Brodin was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 56th minute, Anthony Carey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Brodin was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. If Jonas Carlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Anthony Carey made a precise shot to the right of Sonny Brodin. Fårdala FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Manchester City's Jim Sutton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Björkqvist in the 68th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Anthony Carey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sonny Brodin. Fårdala FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anthony Carey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1.
