In the 5th minute Bogumil Paprotny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Mitchell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Coulter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jimmy Coulter hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Victor Hess hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Jewell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lech Wolczewski. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giuseppe Jewell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Patryk Kicia got a free kick in the 18th minute. When Thanh Darden came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Santos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thanh Darden couldn't finish the play. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Bogumil Paprotny got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lech Wolczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Coulter, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Wit Bugajski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Jimmy Coulter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Santos FC's Reyes Ritter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lech Wolczewski. That made the score 2-0 after 32 minutes of play. After 35 played minutes Victor Hess rounded Gocław Wilga Warszawa's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. In the 43rdth minute of the game Beniamin Niedziela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Jim Mitchell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Beniamin Niedziela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jim Mitchell was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 45th minute, Santos FC's Giuseppe Jewell dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Victor Hess made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Hess came free, but Lech Wolczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patryk Kicia's late challenge caught a Santos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patryk Kicia helped the player get up and apologised. Patryk Kicia kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Hess came free, but Lech Wolczewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lech Wolczewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reyes Ritter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kryspin Poreda lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Gocław Wilga Warszawa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Santos FC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reyes Ritter in the 70th minute of play forced Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalkeeper Lech Wolczewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beniamin Niedziela charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beniamin Niedziela the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gocław Wilga Warszawa were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Santos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roman Czerny took the corner. The corner led Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Roman Czerny to fire away a dangerous shot which Jim Mitchell despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Lech Wolczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Hess in the 92nd minute of play. Lech Wolczewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hess in the 93rd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Gocław Wilga Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Bogumil Paprotny. Lech Wolczewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reyes Ritter in the 95th minute of play. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Gocław Wilga Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patryk Kicia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute Giuseppe Jewell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lech Wolczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
