Tolgahan Onay was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and João Adolfo Leite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. After some careless play in the Samsunspor defense, Armandinho Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tolgahan Onay. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Adolfo Leite stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Özgür Onuker hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Samsunspor defense, Armandinho Vergílio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tolgahan Onay. The Samsunspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tolgahan Onay should have stopped the shot. If Özgür Onuker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. Armandinho Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tolgahan Onay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válbson Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tolgahan Onay having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Özgür Onuker came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.A. Francana's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
