The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Reino Narusson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Péter Čech was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. FC Kopli's Ulryk Marczyniec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muğan Färzäliyev in the 5th minute of play. Péter Čech was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Reino Narusson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Hümmät Abdulxälilov threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Kopli's Urmet Kapten quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 12th minute, FC Kopli's Reino Narusson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Maarek Poltimäe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulryk Marczyniec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Älibala Abayev in the 18th minute of the match. Ulryk Marczyniec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirsaad Denisov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Yaqub Aydinov put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ulryk Marczyniec. FC Kopli's Tõnn Eessaar shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Péter Čech but with some difficulty. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Reino Narusson sped through Şamaxı Bankirlər's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Péter Čech. Péter Čech was a little too slow when Reino Narusson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-1. If Yaqub Aydinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reino Narusson made a kick off. Tõnn Eessaar kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Loğman Hacibabayev took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulryk Marczyniec. FC Kopli's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Çärkäz Dünyamaliyev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Şamaxı Bankirlər's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kopli the free kick. In the 60th match minute, Şamaxı Bankirlər was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Çärkäz Dünyamaliyev to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Kopli booed when Şamaxı Bankirlər was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavär Tahirov didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Kopli were furious when Lennart Laaser was red carded, 69 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Kopli fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! FC Kopli:s Ulryk Marczyniec showed great skill when he stopped Loğman Hacibabayev:s penalty. 4-2 came in the 72nd minute when Loğman Hacibabayev all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Ulryk Marczyniec. Hümmät Abdulxälilov's late challenge caught a FC Kopli's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hümmät Abdulxälilov helped the player get up and apologised. Hümmät Abdulxälilov kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yaqub Aydinov in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulryk Marczyniec prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Péter Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tõnn Eessaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute FC Kopli were awarded a corner. Tõnn Eessaar went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Kopli's Tõnn Eessaar to fire away a dangerous shot which Péter Čech despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tõnn Eessaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Péter Čech tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes FC Kopli got a freekick which was hit by Maarek Laaser. In the 95th minute, Loğman Hacibabayev sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Kopli's Ulryk Marczyniec didn't even have to move. After some careless play in the Şamaxı Bankirlər defense, Tõnn Eessaar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Péter Čech. The Şamaxı Bankirlər fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Péter Čech should have stopped the shot. FC Kopli were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Şamaxı Bankirlər for a fine match.
