In the 47th minute Nathan Wermans suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Ernesto Reynardo's late challenge caught a De Kasteelheren's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Reynardo helped the player get up and apologised. De Kasteelheren made a substitution. Olof Rijaard replaced Nathan Wermans. Ernesto Reynardo kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. In the 50th minute Remond Zijden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Dei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half De Kasteelheren were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Nicanor Nabar made the kick off in the second half. When Teun Otten fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De Kasteelheren's protests and gave Teun Otten a yellow card for diving instead. Teun Otten kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Gerrit Ebbinge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remond Zijden in the 68th minute of play forced Chanchos's goalkeeper Gervasio Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gervasio Dei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remond Zijden, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. De Kasteelheren played a much better game than Chanchos and deserved their victory. The Chanchos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
