Hisingen IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludwig Smedfeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natã Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 23rd minute, Jonas Andreasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Real Cruzeiro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hisingen IK the free kick. A collision led to Real Cruzeiro FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Endrick De Sousa hit a great ball. Natã Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludwig Smedfeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ludwig Smedfeldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natã Madureira was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Luís Guilherme Cabral hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Ludwig Smedfeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ludwig Smedfeldt made a kick off. Ludwig Smedfeldt did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Natã Madureira 58 minutes into the match. Ludwig Smedfeldt's late challenge caught a Real Cruzeiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ludwig Smedfeldt helped the player get up and apologised. Real Cruzeiro FC's Aníbal Neto was substituted for Christiano de Barros. Ludwig Smedfeldt hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Laerte dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Cruzeiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laerte dos Santos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einar Jernberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ludwig Smedfeldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natã Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ludwig Smedfeldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Ted Gunnarsson's late challenge caught a Real Cruzeiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ted Gunnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Real Cruzeiro FC booed when Hisingen IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Real Cruzeiro FC's Inácio Mandrak tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Jonas Andreasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Hisingen IK's Ludwig Smedfeldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Natã Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2.
