The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Fritz in the 3rd minute of play forced Kaplan's goalkeeper Braulio Silviano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Serafin Froylan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomás Las Casas. Serafin Froylan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of Kaplan booed when Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Fritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Kaplan's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Fritz came free, but Braulio Silviano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristides Avellaneda's late challenge caught a Magallanes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Avellaneda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Kaplan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Avellaneda to maneuver through the defense. Hipolito Fritz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Magallanes booed when Kaplan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Tipi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Braulio Silviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Pirazzoli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Braulio Silviano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Pirazzoli in the 21st minute of play. Braulio Silviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Pirazzoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Braulio Silviano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Aravena in the 25th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Magallanes's Luis Aravena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafin Froylan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Tomás Las Casas made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Luis Aravena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Braulio Silviano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 42 minutes, Robustiano Sansone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kaplan and the Magallanes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Robustiano Sansone kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes, Magallanes's Quintén Darrigrande shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Braulio Silviano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Magallanes reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Godofredo Pirazzoli made the kick off in the second half. Godofredo Pirazzoli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Braulio Silviano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kaplan's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Godofredo Pirazzoli 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. A collision led to Kaplan getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Amador Bela hit a great ball. Braulio Silviano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Pirazzoli in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kaplan's Amador Bela got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Magallanes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Magallanes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
