Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5593, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leigh Fearns started the match with the kick off. Gino Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Fetor in the 4th minute of play. Gino Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Fetor in the 6th minute of the match. If Luiz Guilherme Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leigh Fearns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Luiz Guilherme Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Des Bramble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Hoffmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leigh Fearns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Figueira SC FSCMZ's Evaristo Meira was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 20th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Figueira SC FSCMZ getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Pedro Britto hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Stefan Wiltshire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Zoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Fabiano Félix in the 32nd minute. Des Bramble took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gino Hoffmann. Gino Hoffmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ssc Napoli's Leigh Fearns got a free kick in the 37th minute. Dino Zoff didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Meira went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Gino Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leigh Fearns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Meira got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 4-1 in the right cross in the 48th match minute before Dino Zoff had time to react.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Guilherme Paiva to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Maicon do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evandro do Valle took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Zoff. Dino Zoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. If Luiz Guilherme Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glen Reeves hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Evandro do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Figueira SC FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evandro do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leigh Fearns kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Luís Fabiano Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Dino Zoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gino Hoffmann was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Spike Wardell capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Spike Wardell really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. 76 minutes into the match, Ssc Napoli's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Paiva came free, but Dino Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evandro do Valle in the 79th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Evandro do Valle ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Zoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. 88 minutes into the match, Evandro do Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dino Zoff. Ssc Napoli's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evandro do Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-2. In the 93rd minute, Evaristo Meira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Zoff was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-2. If Luís Fabiano Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Figueira SC FSCMZ had played much better football throughout.
