The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Harry Wennerquist hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute Risto Mancaku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Hake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Bjurström in the 6th minute of play forced Ac Milan's goalkeeper Everardo Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Jörgen Bjurström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Edvin Bergkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 17 minutes, Edvin Bergkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nils Liedholm IF and the Ac Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edvin Bergkvist hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Östen Olsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Nils Liedholm IF's zone, Risto Mancaku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ove Hake came out of the goal and Risto Mancaku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ove Hake took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Preng Alikaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tedi Lulo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ove Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tedi Lulo in the 51st minute of play. After 53 played minutes Ac Milan got a freekick which was hit by Memush Myslimi. Kalle Norström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Mingo having to interfere. Tedi Lulo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 56th playminute. Ove Hake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Preng Alikaj, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 63rd minute Qemal Isai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Hake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tedi Lulo got free with Ove Hake in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Preng Alikaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Hake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Mossberg kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ac Milan's Matthias Jansson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ove Hake. That made the score 0-3 after 69 minutes of play. Qemal Isai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Qemal Isai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Preng Alikaj ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ove Hake was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. A collision led to Nils Liedholm IF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Harry Wennerquist hit a great ball. Risto Mancaku struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ove Hake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ac Milan. Nils Liedholm IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Tedi Lulo scored to the left of an out of position Ove Hake, making the score, 0-5. Kent Mossberg kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The Nils Liedholm IF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ac Milan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
