After some careless play in the Papillon AC defense, Klement Pawlak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Froylan. The Papillon AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Froylan should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Friedman in the 20th minute of play forced Westbam's goalkeeper Tony Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Teofilo Milian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Westbam's Tony Arruda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teofilo Milian kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Damian Pordea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Westbam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papillon AC the free kick. Tony Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Osasun in the 27th minute. Tony Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Teofilo Milian struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Tony Arruda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Papillon AC. After 43 played minutes Westbam got a freekick which was hit by Damian Pordea. From close distance Olli-Pekka Suoste pressed in the 2-2 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 45 minutes into the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofil Skaradowski to make the kick off. Damian Pordea hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Niva came free, but Tony Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Teofilo Milian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
