Prime Lee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Gehlen in the 3rd minute of the match. Dominic Haug lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Albirex Niigata FC's Mohammad Lee got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute Sebastian Gehlen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prime Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Gehlen came free, but Prime Lee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Khai Choy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute, Clive Politiek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prime Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Pluta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prime Lee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Andres, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Andrew Tongson charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew Tongson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Albirex Niigata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Tongson to maneuver through the defense. Prime Lee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Pluta in the 33rd minute of play. Mohammad Lee hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Gehlen in the 35th minute of play forced Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Prime Lee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Albirex Niigata FC's zone, Sebastian Gehlen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prime Lee came out of the goal and Sebastian Gehlen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali Choy got free with Christoph Jurk in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Khai Choy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Christoph Jurk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ali Choy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Prime Lee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Pluta in the 51st minute of play. A hard shot 53 in the game by Julien-Nils Ruge from a close distance when the talented Prime Lee managed to make a qualified save. Albirex Niigata FC's players were relieved. Joel Hian's late challenge caught a Poli Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Hian helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Hian kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. If Patrik Andres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julien-Nils Ruge got free with Prime Lee in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 minutes, Hamir Keng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albirex Niigata FC and the Poli Timisoara players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Albirex Niigata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamir Keng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronny Felich charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronny Felich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Felich to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Albirex Niigata FC's Prime Lee got control of the ball when Patrik Andres tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Poli Timisoara's corner Julius-Lasse Eichenauer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Prime Lee quite easily take care of the ball. Christoph Jurk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Choy's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 83rd minute, Sebastian Gehlen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prime Lee was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 86th minute, Patrik Andres reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Prime Lee. The goal made the score 1-2. A collision led to Albirex Niigata FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Mohammad Lee hit a great ball. Robin Pluta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Poli Timisoara's Patrik Andres ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Prime Lee. Prime Lee yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. When the match was over Poli Timisoara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Albirex Niigata FC throughout the match.
