The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Teofil Skaradowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westbam's supporters rose to their feet, but Teofil Skaradowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Teodoro Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Benedito Domingues's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tony Arruda firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 13thth minute of the game Klement Pawlak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caatiba MZC's Rodolfo Quirino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Adrianinho Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Arruda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 20 minutes, Leon Gaszynski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westbam and the Caatiba MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Westbam getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Leon Gaszynski hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Edson de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Klement Pawlak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodolfo Quirino. Caatiba MZC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klement Pawlak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Westbam's Klement Pawlak nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Quirino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Klement Pawlak came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Westbam fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klement Pawlak couldn't finish the play. Benedito Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Arruda having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Eusébio Matorin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Arruda. Westbam's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eusébio Matorin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teofil Skaradowski was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Rodolfo Quirino managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Westbam's Klement Pawlak fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 55 played minutes Caatiba MZC got a freekick which was hit by Laerte da Silva. Benedito Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Arruda having to interfere. Klement Pawlak hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Caatiba MZC defense, Klement Pawlak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Quirino. The Caatiba MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Quirino should have stopped the shot. Enrique Mazza's late challenge caught a Westbam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute, one of Caatiba MZC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caatiba MZC. 71 minutes into the match, Caatiba MZC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klement Pawlak. After 72 minutes, Klement Pawlak made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Caatiba MZC's Rodolfo Quirino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute Eusébio Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Arruda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When Eusébio Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caatiba MZC's protests and gave Eusébio Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, Caatiba MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Domingues to maneuver through the defense. After 96 minutes of play Westbam's Leon Gaszynski was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Westbam getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Leon Gaszynski hit a great ball. Tony Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Domingues in the 99th minute of the match. When the final whistle went the supporters of Westbam were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Caatiba MZC side.
