Borys Mentus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans-Petter Frigstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Borys Mentus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gunnar Ophus's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Linus Todal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Konrad Puch in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Petter Frigstad in the 17th minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Borys Mentus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans-Petter Frigstad hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Rakkestad IF's Linus Todal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Rakkestad IF from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute, Olimpia HSB's Arkadiusz Czajkowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Linus Todal. Linus Todal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Ophus in the 29th minute of play forced Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Borys Mentus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Borys Mentus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Petter Frigstad in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Hans-Petter Frigstad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rakkestad IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 37th match minute, Olimpia HSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Czajkowski to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Olimpia HSB booed when Rakkestad IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torgeir Sandbakken didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jaroslaw Klewinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Hans-Petter Frigstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 47 played minutes Rakkestad IF got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Ophus. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Otto Klepp to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Hans-Petter Frigstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Borys Mentus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans-Petter Frigstad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Borys Mentus made a huge save. Borys Mentus was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hans-Petter Frigstad showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 57 minute of play. Hieronim Kasprzak hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Arkadiusz Czajkowski scored 2-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Linus Todal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 67 minutes into the game, Torgeir Sandbakken was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rakkestad IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olimpia HSB the free kick. In the 67th minute, Torgeir Sandbakken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Rakkestad IF's Gunnar Ophus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Borys Mentus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Petter Frigstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Olimpia HSB's Radomir Pryla got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Gunnar Ophus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Borys Mentus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Jaroslaw Klewinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Linus Todal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rakkestad IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
