After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Nicholas Oertel managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Fenerbahce Wien's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Oertel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iwo Laba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, KS Zgredy's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Schmitzberger came free, but Iwo Laba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Edmund Pietrowski fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KS Zgredy's protests and gave Edmund Pietrowski a yellow card for diving instead. 20 minutes into the match, Nicholas Oertel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iwo Laba. KS Zgredy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicholas Oertel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Iwo Laba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jürgen Aufhauser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Sylwester Cholewa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sebastian Debus, 1-1. 31 minutes into the match, Nicholas Oertel notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of KS Zgredy's Iwo Laba. Iwo Laba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 34 minutes into the game, SK Fenerbahce Wien's Nicholas Oertel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iwo Laba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 37th minute, Nicholas Oertel made a precise shot to the right of Iwo Laba. KS Zgredy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jürgen Aufhauser in the 43rd minute of play forced KS Zgredy's goalkeeper Iwo Laba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half SK Fenerbahce Wien were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sylwester Cholewa to strike the kick off in the second half. Andreas Hellmich's late challenge caught a KS Zgredy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andreas Hellmich helped the player get up and apologised. Iwo Laba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Oertel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, KS Zgredy's Pawel Mietus got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th match minute Christian Schmitzberger ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Iwo Laba. 1-5. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Iwo Laba successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, KS Zgredy's Zenon Wojton got a free kick in the 66th minute. Christian Schmitzberger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Iwo Laba made a huge save. 77 minutes into the match, KS Zgredy's goalkeeper Iwo Laba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicholas Oertel. After 80 played minutes SK Fenerbahce Wien got a freekick which was hit by Christian Schmitzberger. Iwo Laba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Oertel, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Sebastian Debus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylwester Cholewa in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by SK Fenerbahce Wien's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Szczepan Korytkowski was slow to take the kick. During this time KS Zgredy's players had a chance to rest. KS Zgredy's Iwo Laba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Schmitzberger in the 90th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Edmund Pietrowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Fenerbahce Wien played a much better game than KS Zgredy and deserved their victory. The KS Zgredy players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
