Cavalerii Viola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Champions Iasi the free kick. After 9 played minutes Cavalerii Viola got a freekick which was hit by Sever Onitiu. 12 minutes into the game, Cavalerii Viola's Remus Vrejiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ovidiu Bojin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mugurel Puișoru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manole Crașovan in the 15th minute. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gigel Chesaru hit a great ball. Champions Iasi's Ovidiu Bojin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remus Vrejiu in the 18th minute of play. Toader Apăvăloaie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Mugurel Puișoru made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Champions Iasi's zone, Adolfas Burkys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Bojin came out of the goal and Adolfas Burkys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manole Crașovan in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mugurel Puișoru, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Champions Iasi's Ovidiu Bojin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet İlke Develi in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Manole Crașovan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mugurel Puișoru. The goal made the score 1-1. Manole Crașovan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Mugurel Puișoru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Champions Iasi's Ovidiu Bojin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Bognar in the 36th minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 38th minute when Adolfas Burkys elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
