Mrongowiusz Mściwój took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janos Škarpa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Janos Škarpa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Mrongowiusz Mściwój made a huge save. Karol Dubiel hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Banas in the 15th minute of play forced KoLiber's goalkeeper Mrongowiusz Mściwój to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Benedykt Trzemzalski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jedrzej Grucza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th match minute, KoLiber was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerzy Cuber to maneuver through the defense. Janos Škarpa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Mrongowiusz Mściwój skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ziemowit Borowski's late challenge caught a Skarpa Ełk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ziemowit Borowski helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Skarpa Ełk booed when KoLiber was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ziemowit Borowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedykt Trzemzalski in the 27th minute of play forced Skarpa Ełk's goalkeeper Jedrzej Grucza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jedrzej Grucza made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Benedykt Trzemzalski sent off a good shot on target. Benedykt Trzemzalski came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jedrzej Grucza could save by the left post. Mrongowiusz Mściwój showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krzysztof Biskupiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The long shot by Ziemowit Owsiak in the 59th minute really tested Jedrzej Grucza's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Korneliusz Narbut during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Korneliusz Narbut kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Skarpa Ełk's goalkeeper Jedrzej Grucza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ziemowit Borowski. After a defensive mix-up in Skarpa Ełk's zone, Benedykt Trzemzalski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jedrzej Grucza came out of the goal and Benedykt Trzemzalski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Krzysztof Biskupiak made a precise shot to the right of Mrongowiusz Mściwój. KoLiber's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 80th minute, Krzysztof Biskupiak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Damazy Jandryca managed to get in a good position for a shot. KoLiber's supporters rose to their feet, but Damazy Jandryca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jedrzej Grucza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
