The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Magnus Björkqvist scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximilian Strömbom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Kochowski during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Onsala Ass Kickers's Edwin Sjöberg was substituted for Vincent Vallengren. After 9 played minutes Yung Gunners FK got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Kochowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Björkqvist in the 11th minute of play forced Yung Gunners FK's goalkeeper Maximilian Strömbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Björkqvist in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximilian Strömbom saved Yung Gunners FK from getting behind. In the 15th minute of the match Onsala Ass Kickers got a corner. Yung Gunners FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Johannes Målare ran over to the corner to take the kick. A throw-in in the 16th minute of the game was made by Viggo Billing with Magnus Björkqvist as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rickard Wiklund made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when CJ Traoré sent off a good shot on target. After 22 played minutes Onsala Ass Kickers got a freekick which was hit by Walter Jönsson. Yung Gunners FK's Nelsinho Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Onsala Ass Kickers booed when Yung Gunners FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Kochowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rickard Wiklund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yngve Sandström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 40 minute of play. Rickard Wiklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from CJ Traoré, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walter Jönsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximilian Strömbom made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Walter Jönsson sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, Yung Gunners FK's CJ Traoré nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rickard Wiklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Rickard Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yngve Sandström in the 74th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Onsala Ass Kickers's Mikael Alebäck seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mikael Alebäck the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Onsala Ass Kickers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mikael Alebäck had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 81 minutes into the game, one of Onsala Ass Kickers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Walter Jönsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Onsala Ass Kickers's Jan Björnberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edgar Kochowski in the 92 minute of the game. Onsala Ass Kickers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
