Santino Mora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Luzea in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute Higinio Luzea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santino Mora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Santiago's Zuberoa Mesia got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, Alberto Refugio made a precise shot to the right of Santino Mora. Club Deportivo Santiago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Leonardo Meca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Nunez Astudillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Estrellas de Caballito's Nunez Astudillo got control of the ball when Evelio Terres tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Higinio Luzea put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Santino Mora. In the 39th minute, Evelio Terres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Luzea in the 40th minute of play. Estrellas de Caballito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Igor Erruki in the 41st minute. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Refugio in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Estrellas de Caballito were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Higinio Luzea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Higinio Luzea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Santino Mora when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Estrellas de Caballito's Alberto Refugio suffered a concussion after 62 minutes and had to leave the field. When Xaiver Bara fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Santiago's protests and gave Xaiver Bara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Club Deportivo Santiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaiver Bara to maneuver through the defense. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Luzea in the 64th minute of play. Result 0-3. Higinio Luzea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Santino Mora skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 75th minute, Zuberoa Mesia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nunez Astudillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 82 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Santiago's Pedro Loarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nunez Astudillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 85th minute Pedro Loarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nunez Astudillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Club Deportivo Santiago's Arturo Montiel to fire away a dangerous shot which Nunez Astudillo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Santino Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Sabin, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Estrellas de Caballito's Amadeo Uxio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santino Mora narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Santiago's goalkeeper Santino Mora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Bento. Estrellas de Caballito's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
