After having played for 22 minutes, Ruben Smidts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Mons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Smidts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 minutes of play, SK Mons's Ruben Smidts made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When the final whistle sounded SK Mons left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hudiksvalls United.
