The Vampiros Aztecas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Guaberto Weather made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaroslaw Gleba in the 23rd minute of play. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Vampiros Aztecas's Silvestre Ostots in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Silvestre Ostots sped through Trapiche's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stelios Panagiotopoulos. Trapiche's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
