The supporters of Trapiche booed when SK Mons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of SK Mons:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Trapiche:s goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruben Smidts made a kick off. In the 64th minute Amado Matro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Pihl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilmar Lõvi in the 66th minute of the match. Ruben Smidts took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stelios Panagiotopoulos. Stelios Panagiotopoulos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. When Sergio Deman came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the SK Mons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Deman couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Olofsson in the 79th minute of play forced Trapiche's goalkeeper Stelios Panagiotopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Pihl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaroslaw Gleba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Cesar Abancens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Puttemans to maneuver through the defense. Trapiche's Damian Urbez was substituted for Jaroslaw Gleba. SK Mons's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Damian Urbez 96 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4.
