Spectators: 7471 (Terracing: 5604, Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 149) 9 minutes into the match, Flamengo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Murillo Toledo came free, but Serginho Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Samuel Luz during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Samuel Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Clóvis Marinho made a precise shot to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 16th minute Adelino Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when Flamengo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zézinho Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Serginho Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Vides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Serginho Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elano Senna's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 25 minutes of play, FALCÕES VERDES's Murillo Toledo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Murillo Toledo scored 0-4 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Zézinho Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. FALCÕES VERDES's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serginho Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manfredo Freire's late challenge caught a FALCÕES VERDES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfredo Freire helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, Flamengo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Freire to maneuver through the defense. Serginho Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Toledo in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Elano Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elano Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6.

The wind increased when Arlindo Leão made the kick off in the second half. Serginho Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murillo Toledo's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 56th match minute, FALCÕES VERDES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Samuel Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Zézinho Vides ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After having played for 64 minutes, Murillo Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FALCÕES VERDES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murillo Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Murillo Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Elano Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. FALCÕES VERDES's Zézinho Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Serginho Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Flamengo FC's Serginho Azevedo got control of the ball when Elano Senna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Serginho Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Elano Senna made a precise shot to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo FC's zone, Clóvis Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serginho Azevedo came out of the goal and Clóvis Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flamengo FC's Rony Andrade quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Daniel Gerber, made in the 87th minute of the game. Adelino Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serginho Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FALCÕES VERDES's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
