Serginho Azevedo came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Green Horses's Konstantinos D Artagnan. But to his dismay, Konstantinos D Artagnan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Notis Bartzokas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaios Petridis in the 7th minute of play forced Flamengo FC's goalkeeper Serginho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Notis Bartzokas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Konstantinos D Artagnan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Serginho Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Konstantinos D Artagnan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vaios Petridis in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serginho Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos D Artagnan in the 26th minute of play forced Flamengo FC's goalkeeper Serginho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FC's Elano Ceresso got a free kick in the 27th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Flamengo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vaios Petridis came free, but Serginho Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Green Horses's Konstantinos D Artagnan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 38th minute, Notis Bartzokas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute, Notis Bartzokas made a precise shot to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 44 minutes into the match, Konstantinos D Artagnan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Konstantinos D Artagnan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Serginho Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaios Petridis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vaios Petridis was the one to do the kick off. Serginho Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Notis Bartzokas in the 51st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Konstantinos D Artagnan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serginho Azevedo. That made the score 0-6 in the 52 minute of play. In the 55th minute, Green Horses's Notis Bartzokas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Serginho Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vaios Petridis went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. When Samuel Luz fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo FC's protests and gave Samuel Luz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st match minute, Flamengo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Luz to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Notis Bartzokas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Vaios Petridis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serginho Azevedo was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Notis Bartzokas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Notis Bartzokas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Notis Bartzokas might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serginho Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Notis Bartzokas ran back to his position shaking his head. Konstantinos D Artagnan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Luz got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FC's Samuel Luz got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Vaios Petridis came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Green Horses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaios Petridis couldn't finish the play. After having played for 81 minutes, Konstantinos D Artagnan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Green Horses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Konstantinos D Artagnan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Notis Bartzokas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Azevedo having to interfere. Notis Bartzokas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Green Horses left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Flamengo FC.
