The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Benedicto Romelio came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Fumasche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Romelio couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Fumasche's Romain Riquelme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Fransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romain Riquelme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Fransson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fire Devils's zone, Eusebio Criston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Fransson came out of the goal and Eusebio Criston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Vincent in the 26th minute of play forced Fumasche's goalkeeper Alex Ciscato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Quinito, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Fumasche's Romain Riquelme in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fire Devils's goalie prevented a goal. Percy Paterson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Alex Ciscato when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, Romain Riquelme notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Fire Devils's Walter Fransson. Walter Fransson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Walter Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Quinito in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Percy Paterson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Ciscato. Fumasche's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Percy Paterson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Fumasche's Benedicto Romelio got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Walter Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Criston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lorenzo Quinito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match, Lorenzo Quinito tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Walter Fransson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lorenzo Quinito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Fransson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Nikita Bolla lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fire Devils! Romain Riquelme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Walter Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lorenzo Quinito got free with Walter Fransson in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dave Saenger charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dave Saenger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dave Saenger hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Santos Ponciano from long distance, 64 minutes into the match, got Walter Fransson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Quinito in the 66th minute of play. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Fire Devils from getting a goal against them. Jacobo Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Fransson having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, Fire Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Björnsson came free, but Walter Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Benedicto Romelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Walter Fransson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 79 minutes, Feliciano Berriotxoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fumasche and the Fire Devils players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Fumasche got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Berriotxoa. With an all-out effort, Fumasche's Walter Fransson threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lorenzo Quinito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Walter Fransson had great luck who in the 83rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Lorenzo Quinito from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Feliciano Berriotxoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fire Devils's Walter Fransson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Fire Devils from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute, Lorenzo Quinito made a precise shot to the right of Walter Fransson. Fire Devils's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Benedicto Romelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Fumasche left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fire Devils.
