Nicolas Alvarenga's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Clemente Varela on his right side and into the goal. 19 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Clemente Varela came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Cambotinha EC's Marcel Moreira. But to his dismay, Marcel Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 29th minute Celso Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Novaes took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clemente Varela. Clemente Varela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Falcão Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clemente Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Novaes in the 35th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Nicolas Alvarenga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MarquinhosEC's Clemente Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Nicolas Alvarenga sped through MarquinhosEC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clemente Varela. After having played for 42 minutes, Umberto Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MarquinhosEC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vânderson Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Boldrini, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Clemente Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Novaes in the 46th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Alvarenga in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Varela saved MarquinhosEC from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
In the 51st minute Dinei Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vânderson Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Falcão Novaes went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score.
