An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Hoffmann in the 11th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Vito Hoffmann notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Oswaldo Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. O MOTIVO ⚽'s supporters rose to their feet, but Oswaldo Rosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbert Kormos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Hoffmann in the 39th minute of play. Adalberto Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihály Földesi's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Róbert Kormos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Vito Hoffmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Róbert Kormos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihály Földesi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Róbert Kormos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo de Salles went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Adalberto Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihály Földesi, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Róbert Kormos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vito Hoffmann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 61 minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Vito Hoffmann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Róbert Kormos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Adalberto Figueiredo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mihály Földesi's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Róbert Kormos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo de Salles in the 72nd minute. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Claudinho Quintal was substituted for Bernardo de Salles. The audience was convinced that Mihály Földesi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adalberto Figueiredo was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. János Major hit a great ball. Róbert Kormos made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Claudinho Quintal sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over O MOTIVO ⚽ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Szombathely Squirrels throughout the match.
