The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Nye getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kalle Boberg hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Mexilhão F. C.'s Reinaldo Penha tried to score from far away in the 5th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Mexilhão F. C.'s Cristiano Romero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Markus Albäck. Markus Albäck yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 15 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer Terra. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Romero got free with Markus Albäck in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Cristiano Romero took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Markus Albäck to make any attempt to save it. Markus Albäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Romero in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Henric Nordström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nye's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexilhão F. C. the free kick. Henric Nordström hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Nye's Markus Albäck got control of the ball when Cristiano Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Markus Albäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Mineiro in the 30th minute of the match. Markus Albäck was a little too slow when Cristiano Romero got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 4-0. 35 minutes into the game, Felippe Mineiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Markus Albäck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Markus Albäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Romero in the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Felippe Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexilhão F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Albäck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mexilhão F. C.'s Reinaldo Penha suffered a concussion in the 41st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kalle Boberg during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 41 minutes into the game, one of Nye:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Markus Albäck, was totally fooled by Mexilhão F. C.'s Nelsinho Dantas, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Philip Hedvall was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Mexilhão F. C.'s Cristiano Romero made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Albäck was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sivert Josefsson hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nye's zone, Cristiano Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Albäck came out of the goal and Cristiano Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Markus Albäck came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexilhão F. C.'s Cristiano Romero. But to his dismay, Cristiano Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After having played for 75 minutes, Nelsinho Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexilhão F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelsinho Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Albäck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Romero in the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Felippe Mineiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexilhão F. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. 81 minutes into the match, Nye's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Romero came free, but Markus Albäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Nye's Erik Hamberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the Nye defense, Nelsinho Dantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Albäck. The Nye fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Albäck should have stopped the shot. 91 minutes into the game, Mexilhão F. C.'s Cristiano Romero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Markus Albäck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 13-0. Markus Albäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
