After 33 played minutes, Florida Gulf Coast's Cipriano Aznaro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damian Jekot came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Florida Gulf Coast reached it. After 33 played minutes Pogoń Stawiszyn got a freekick which was hit by Krzysztof Kochanowski. Damian Jekot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Inko in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Pilsudski in the 75th minute of play forced Florida Gulf Coast's goalkeeper Lucio Geofredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th match minute, Florida Gulf Coast was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Aznaro to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Florida Gulf Coast's goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Pilsudski came free, but Lucio Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
