F.C internazionale's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zamalek FC the free kick. Gürhan Serdinç hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Jake Howard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute, Malcolm Neal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zamalek FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 18 minutes of play, F.C internazionale's Cengiz Pekdemir made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merlin Dolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Arif Cengiz Elçin managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C internazionale's supporters rose to their feet, but Arif Cengiz Elçin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Dolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Malcolm Neal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Ömür saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cengiz Pekdemir in the 34th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Merlin Dolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merlin Dolan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arif Cengiz Elçin in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Cengiz Pekdemir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Dolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cengiz Pekdemir in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Cengiz Pekdemir kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Merlin Dolan. That made the score 2-1 in the 41 minute of play. Aras Görkem Akoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Merlin Dolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cengiz Pekdemir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cengiz Pekdemir in the 54th minute of the match. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cengiz Pekdemir in the 56th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Cengiz Pekdemir notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arif Cengiz Elçin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. F.C internazionale's Uğuralp Pamiroğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cengiz Pekdemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Lloyd Warren's late challenge caught a F.C internazionale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lloyd Warren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lloyd Warren to maneuver through the defense. Cengiz Pekdemir struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Merlin Dolan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C internazionale. The supporters of F.C internazionale booed when Zamalek FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Will Holt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Cengiz Pekdemir kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Merlin Dolan. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Merlin Dolan should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cengiz Pekdemir came free, but Merlin Dolan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. F.C internazionale fully deserved thier win.
