A collision led to Palermo AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Teo Barrionuevo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Fix in the 5th minute of play forced Samurai's goalkeeper Fredrik Bennet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Samurai defense, Elvio Olo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fredrik Bennet. The Samurai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredrik Bennet should have stopped the shot. Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Pitin in the 20th minute of play. Florencio Fix took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fredrik Bennet. Fredrik Bennet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 37th minute, Olov Bäckström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Fix in the 43rd minute of play. Fredrik Bennet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Artemio Pitin went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Artemio Pitin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palermo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Artemio Pitin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredrik Bennet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Fix in the 61st minute of play forced Samurai's goalkeeper Fredrik Bennet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Palermo AFC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Palermo AFC's Artemio Pitin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Florencio Fix did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Fredrik Bennet 69 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Palermo AFC's Hugo Pitin got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 82nd minute, Florencio Fix made a precise shot to the right of Fredrik Bennet. Samurai's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 86th minute Florencio Fix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Bennet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredrik Bennet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florencio Fix went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. After 93 played minutes Samurai got a freekick which was hit by Henry Kjellkvist. Elvio Olo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Fix in the 96th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Roger Kalfhage hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palermo AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
