Seating: 1711, VIP seats: 148) When Hector Gelmiro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Huckebein fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Gelmiro couldn't finish the play. Candido Eutor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Neal in the 7th minute of play. If Hector Gelmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute Malcolm Neal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Eutor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hector Gelmiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Merlin Dolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lloyd Warren hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hector Gelmiro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Dolan saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. Candido Eutor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Neal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Candido Eutor made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Carson Sherrill sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the game, Malcolm Neal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Candido Eutor. Malcolm Neal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 35 minutes into the match, Zamalek FC's Malcolm Neal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Candido Eutor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Neal came free, but Candido Eutor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Goi hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Jake Howard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zamalek FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Howard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Gelmiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Merlin Dolan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hector Gelmiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Gelmiro was the one to do the kick off. Candido Eutor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake Howard in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Neal to maneuver through the defense. Fernan Luzaide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hector Gelmiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Merlin Dolan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 69 played minutes Huckebein got a freekick which was hit by Hector Gelmiro. 70 minutes into the match, Jake Howard notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Huckebein's Candido Eutor. Candido Eutor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Candido Eutor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Neal, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Huckebein's Hector Gelmiro got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Junior Smart made a precise shot to the right of Candido Eutor. Huckebein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 94 minutes into the match, Huckebein's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Neal came free, but Candido Eutor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute there was a penalty for Zamalek FC. Jake Howard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Candido Eutor. 4-0. Zamalek FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
