An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Dracena in the 7th minute of play forced Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Merlin Dolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santo Knox's late challenge caught a Inter Gala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santo Knox helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Santo Knox got a free kick in the 9th minute. Osvaldinho Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 12 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Dracena. A hard shot 14 in the game by Reinaldo Dracena from a close distance when the talented Merlin Dolan managed to make a qualified save. Zamalek FC's players were relieved. Naldo Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Neal in the 15th minute of play. Paul De La Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Otto Ciauri kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The Inter Gala fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Inter Gala's Reinaldo Dracena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Dracena in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Dolan saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Carson Sherrill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zamalek FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carson Sherrill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Félix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Dráusio Batista notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan. Merlin Dolan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Magno Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Dracena in the 46th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 51stth minute of the game Reinaldo Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Osvaldinho Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Dolan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zamalek FC's Otto Ciauri got a free kick in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Magno Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Merlin Dolan. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Merlin Dolan should have stopped the shot. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After some careless play in the Zamalek FC defense, Reinaldo Dracena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Merlin Dolan. The Zamalek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Merlin Dolan should have stopped the shot. Merlin Dolan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Matorin in the 72nd minute of play. Merlin Dolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Dracena in the 73rd minute of the match. Merlin Dolan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Inter Gala's Reinaldo Dracena shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. After 93 minutes of play, Inter Gala's Reinaldo Dracena made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merlin Dolan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Inter Gala players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
