But to his dismay, Severino Falcão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Hélio Pimenta hit a great ball. Emílio Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cruz in the 30th minute of play. Emílio Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Cruz in the 32nd minute of the match. Hélio Pimenta hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 36 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Lino Campidelis. In the 42ndth minute of the game Jardel Negri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Emílio Veiga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

51 minutes into the game, Confresa futebol clube.'s Leandro Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emílio Veiga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luiz Guilherme Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Dionísio notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Confresa futebol clube.'s Sérgio Paraense. Sérgio Paraense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Confresa futebol clube.'s attentive Jardel Moraes managed to snatch the ball when Hélio Pimenta made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Jardel Negri reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emílio Veiga. The goal made the score 3-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Confresa futebol clube. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
