After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea Football Club's zone, Víktor Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anacleto Costante came out of the goal and Víktor Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anacleto Costante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandinho Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Costante having to interfere. Anacleto Costante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Urbano in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Fernandinho Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corinthians fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Fernandinho Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Anacleto Costante made a huge save. In the 29th minute, Fernandinho Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chelsea Football Club's Camilo Gasteiz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Fernandinho Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Urbano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Elano Simões hit a great ball. Anacleto Costante came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Fernandinho Urbano. But to his dismay, Fernandinho Urbano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 41 minutes, Sergio Veremundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chelsea Football Club and the Corinthians players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Chelsea Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Veremundo. A hard, long distance shot from Víktor Sarmento flew over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Sein to strike the kick off in the second half. Romeu Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Sein in the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corinthians's goalkeeper Romeu Souto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anacleto Costante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandinho Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anacleto Costante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baldomiro Sabino kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Chelsea Football Club's Aquilino Basualdo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aquilino Basualdo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chelsea Football Club protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aquilino Basualdo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chelsea Football Club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Corinthians a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Didi Rocha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chelsea Football Club's Anacleto Costante. 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, David Sein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but David Sein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goalkeeper Romeu Souto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Sein. Corinthians's Fernandinho Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Gelacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Romeu Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Chelsea Football Club booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, David Sein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but David Sein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Fernandinho Urbano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anacleto Costante was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Romeu Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Sein, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Corinthians walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
