Spectators: 7518 (Terracing: 5639, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aquiles Leonidas kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Leonidas in the 4th minute of play forced Brujas KV's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Pfaff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Marie Pfaff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xande Xande in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goal looked a bit too open when Xande Xande came free, but Jean-Marie Pfaff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Leonidas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Jean-Marie Pfaff made a huge save. With a little luck, Brujas KV's Jean-Marie Pfaff got control of the ball when Sven-Erik Harman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bruninho Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Vanacker in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Blai in the 22nd minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Bruninho Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Bernardino Blai cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bruninho Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jean-Marie Pfaff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Leonidas in the 26th minute of the match. Jean-Marie Pfaff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Leonidas in the 28th minute. Jean-Marie Pfaff made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Aquiles Leonidas sent off a good shot on target. Bruninho Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Vanacker in the 32nd minute of the match. If Aquiles Leonidas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Marie Pfaff was a little too slow when Sven-Erik Harman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. With a little luck, Brujas KV's Jean-Marie Pfaff got control of the ball when Aquiles Leonidas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 47th minute, Hans Vanacker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brujas KV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernardino Blai made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Brujas KV's Raimundo Felo got a free kick in the 55th minute. Bruninho Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Vanacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute, Fabiano de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Flamengo FSCMZ getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Eusébio Andrade hit a great ball. Hans Vanacker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute Hans Vanacker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Loramendi in the 79th minute of the match. Jean-Marie Pfaff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xande Xande in the 86th minute of play. Bernardino Blai received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruninho Montenegro came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernardino Blai slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute, Fabiano de Medeiros made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Marie Pfaff. Brujas KV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
