Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Geleberto started the match with the kick off. Baltazar Del Cid kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Francisco Geleberto scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Peña, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rodrigo Rey made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Libardo Fuentes sent off a good shot on target. The attack was good, but when Libardo Fuentes in the 11th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 13 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Pudes came free, but Ricardo Peña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Geleberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Club Deportivo Águila got a freekick which was hit by David Braun. Amador Bertran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Peña. Club Deportivo Águila's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Águila's Camilo Galeas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Amador Bertran managed to get in a good position for a shot. ★Independiente Ψ★'s supporters rose to their feet, but Amador Bertran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Peña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 25th minute Alberto Pineda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto Pineda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodrigo Rey. That made the score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. Libardo Fuentes kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Baltazar Del Cid charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltazar Del Cid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 42 minutes into the game, Francisco Geleberto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ricardo Peña was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 45 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Libardo Fuentes. In the 47th match minute, Club Deportivo Águila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Del Cid to maneuver through the defense.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Libardo Fuentes to make the kick off. Ricardo Peña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Pudes in the 50th minute of play. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Deportivo Águila's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amador Bertran was slow to take the kick. During this time ★Independiente Ψ★'s players had a chance to rest. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Amador Bertran was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ricardo Peña in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Libardo Fuentes in the 55th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Águila's goalkeeper Ricardo Peña had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donato Gorbea. Rodrigo Rey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Libardo Fuentes, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. A collision led to Club Deportivo Águila getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Camilo Galeas hit a great ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Amador Bertran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ★Independiente Ψ★'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Bertran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Rodrigo Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Peña in the 69th minute of play. With his leg Ricardo Peña managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when ★Independiente Ψ★'s Donato Gorbea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Donato Gorbea came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the ★Independiente Ψ★ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Gorbea couldn't finish the play. Ricardo Peña was a little too slow when Teodosio Pudes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-3. Donato Gorbea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute, Conrado Eliazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Alberto Pineda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Rey. ★Independiente Ψ★'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Pineda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Club Deportivo Águila had won after a very even match.
