An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel Mesquita in the 3rd minute of play forced KS Olimpia Warszawa's goalkeeper Tytus Frenzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Wieczorek received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wellington Barbosa came out and tried to block the shot, but Ali Wieczorek slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, KS Olimpia Warszawa's Boleslaw Kensicki got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th match minute, KS Olimpia Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikolaj Kazczyk to maneuver through the defense. When César de Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vasco FC's protests and gave César de Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. César de Godoi hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Ali Wieczorek in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wellington Barbosa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vasco FC's Wellington Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Wieczorek in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Gil Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tytus Frenzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Wieczorek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Wellington Barbosa made a huge save. Ali Wieczorek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wellington Barbosa having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the KS Olimpia Warszawa defense, Tiago Gabriel Mesquita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tytus Frenzel. The KS Olimpia Warszawa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tytus Frenzel should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Veloso got free with Tytus Frenzel in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tytus Frenzel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Veloso in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute Piotr Wilk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Wieczorek hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Wellington Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Wieczorek's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. The supporters of KS Olimpia Warszawa booed when Vasco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
