The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Botinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Paglione kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After having played for 8 minutes, Fabiano Paglione managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Boca Jrs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Paglione was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hílton Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Paglione, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th match minute, CA Boca Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniele Di Gregorio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Botinho FC's Wilian Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 20th minute. CA Boca Jrs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabiano Paglione in the 22nd minute. When Alvaro Busillo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CA Boca Jrs's protests and gave Alvaro Busillo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, CA Boca Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Busillo to maneuver through the defense. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Paglione in the 26th minute of play. Marco Nóbrega hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Paglione came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes Botinho FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabiano Paglione who took care of the corner kick. Fabiano Paglione made a great header on CA Boca Jrs's corner, it was just that Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães managed to reach the ball for a save. Wilian Breckenfeld lost his temper 36 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of CA Boca Jrs booed when Botinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilian Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Paglione in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Magalhães saved Botinho FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Botinho FC's zone, Eugenio Borgatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal and Eugenio Borgatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48thth minute of the game Dennis Castagna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
CA Boca Jrs's Armando Garofalo was substituted for Dennis Castagna. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniele Di Gregorio to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Botinho FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabiano Paglione was slow to take the kick. During this time CA Boca Jrs's players had a chance to rest. Armando Garofalo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hílton Magalhães came out and tried to block the shot, but Armando Garofalo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Armando Garofalo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hílton Magalhães. Armando Garofalo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Armando Garofalo in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hílton Magalhães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniele Di Gregorio in the 68th minute of play. Dorival Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Garofalo got free with Hílton Magalhães in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabiano Paglione's late challenge caught a Botinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Paglione helped the player get up and apologised. Fabiano Paglione hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute of the match, Armando Garofalo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hílton Magalhães was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 77th minute, Dorival Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hílton Magalhães came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Boca Jrs's Armando Garofalo. But to his dismay, Armando Garofalo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 82nd minute, Fabiano Paglione hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hílton Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniele Di Gregorio in the 85th minute of the match. After 88 minutes of play, CA Boca Jrs's Daniele Di Gregorio made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Di Gregorio in the 94th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Botinho FC booed when CA Boca Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Borgatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Daniele Di Gregorio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded CA Boca Jrs left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Botinho FC.
