With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edson Araújo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastião Garcia saved Elite™- FC Galácticos from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóvão Maciel got free with Dé Souza in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sebastião Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Edson Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Araújo came free, but Sebastião Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as João Pedro Goiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dé Souza. That made the score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. Sebastião Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edson Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute of the match Gualter Maranhense shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastião Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG booed when Elite™- FC Galácticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristóvão Maciel made a kick off. José Pedro Vides hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the game, Ulysses Bezerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elite™- FC Galácticos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG the free kick. After 62 played minutes Elite™- FC Galácticos got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Torres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Maciel in the 66th minute of play forced Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goalkeeper Dé Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Jonas Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Tales Pombal fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's protests and gave Tales Pombal a yellow card for diving instead. Tales Pombal hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute of the match Richard Torres sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dé Souza skillfully saved the ball. Sebastião Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Tales Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Pombal couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
