In the 6th minute of the match Dito Xavier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amancio Lando showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 8th minute, Marcial Gines reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hélder Severo. The goal made the score 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Hélder Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcial Gines. Marcial Gines could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Hélder Severo made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Marcial Gines ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélder Severo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Hélder Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Eguzki in the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Marcial Gines fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hélder Severo was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Florencio Eguzki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Florencio Eguzki really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After having played for 43 minutes, Dito Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. São José City - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dito Xavier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amancio Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Roger Costa made the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute Ciro Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Lando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcial Gines came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcial Gines couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Florencio Eguzki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Toledo got free with Amancio Lando in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hélder Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Gines in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, São José City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Eguzki came free, but Hélder Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 95 minutes into the game, when Norberto Dantel put in a rough tackle. In the 95th minute, one of LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, São José City - FSCMZ's Luiz Paulo Leão got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Amancio Lando. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. LOS BICHOS AZULES MDP had won after a very even match.
