In the 42nd minute, Vinícius Perez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurício Varanda was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. AC Korban's Hernani da Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viveque Savimbi in the 45th minute of play. With 47 minutes on the clock, Hortêncio Camarinha commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 46 minutes into the game, one of Urutu F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vinícius Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maurício Varanda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Urutu F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
