Luis Iban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Jonatan Santiago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bahía é Carnaval's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Santiago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Cloarec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nelson Cloarec took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonatan Santiago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonatan Santiago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Nelson Cloarec made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonatan Santiago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Formation Pure Lyonnaise getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Cyril Chevron hit a great ball. If Jonatan Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonatan Santiago might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelson Cloarec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonatan Santiago ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davy Giacomoni in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Romeri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 68 minutes of play, Bahía é Carnaval's Luis Iban made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nelson Cloarec was left in no man's land by his defense there! 72 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goalkeeper Sergio Romeri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davy Giacomoni. When Jonatan Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Bahía é Carnaval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Santiago couldn't finish the play. Nelson Cloarec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Santiago in the 86th minute of the match. When Gaspard Letourneux fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formation Pure Lyonnaise's protests and gave Gaspard Letourneux a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Formation Pure Lyonnaise got a freekick which was hit by Gaspard Letourneux. Jonatan Santiago took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson Cloarec. Nelson Cloarec dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bahía é Carnaval had played much better football throughout.
