The supporters of FC Ouagadougou National booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fernando Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Folke Österlund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Octavian Smidts showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dudu Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Ben Jaddon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Ben Jaddon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fernando Abraão in the 54th minute of play. Folke Österlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Issa Bado in the 58th minute of play. Ben Jaddon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Borges in the 68th minute of the match. Hernani Travassos hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Christiaan Van Laer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Folke Österlund. Catugi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Folke Österlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavian Smidts, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. With a little luck, FC Ouagadougou National's Ben Jaddon got control of the ball when Luiz Fernando Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line.
