Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Óscar Sabrosa started the match with the kick off. Issa Bado might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascoal Modesto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Issa Bado ran back to his position shaking his head. Issa Bado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Pascoal Modesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Óscar Sabrosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Proud FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Óscar Sabrosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Jaddon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th match minute, FC Ouagadougou National was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Van den Haute to maneuver through the defense. Ben Jaddon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Sabrosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Palmiro Manso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Proud FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ouagadougou National the free kick. In the 28th minute, Issa Bado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pascoal Modesto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Christiaan Van Laer hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. FC Ouagadougou National's Ben Jaddon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Sabrosa in the 32nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Palmiro Manso took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ben Jaddon to make any attempt to save it. 39 minutes into the match, Cassiano Esteves notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Ouagadougou National's Ben Jaddon. Ben Jaddon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FC Ouagadougou National booed when Red Proud FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joel Vrijdags during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joel Vrijdags hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Issa Bado made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassiano Esteves in the 57th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Ben Jaddon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Alberto Valverde cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ben Jaddon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 68 minutes of play, Red Proud FC's Cassiano Esteves made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ben Jaddon was left in no man's land by his defense there! 73 minutes into the game, Red Proud FC's Óscar Sabrosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ben Jaddon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Issa Bado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pascoal Modesto. That made the score 5-2 in the 76 minute of play. After 82 minutes, Christiaan Van Laer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ouagadougou National and the Red Proud FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christiaan Van Laer kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes, Red Proud FC's Jorge Faria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ben Jaddon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Proud FC reached it. 85 minutes into the match, Óscar Sabrosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Jaddon. FC Ouagadougou National's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Óscar Sabrosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. The supporters of FC Ouagadougou National booed when Red Proud FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cassiano Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Octavian Smidts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abdoulay Ali during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ben Jaddon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Óscar Sabrosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Red Proud FC fully deserved thier win.
