Spectators: 7483 (Terracing: 5614, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) FC Ouagadougou National's Issa Bado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Bob Teunis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Efren in the 4th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Ben Jaddon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Issa Bado notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of QUASAR AZULGRANA's Ferrer Arias. Ferrer Arias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute Issa Bado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferrer Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Issa Bado succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Ferrer Arias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Issa Bado went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 16 minutes, Bernabe Efren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. QUASAR AZULGRANA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernabe Efren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Joel Vrijdags got a free kick in the 21st minute. FC Ouagadougou National's Ben Jaddon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Ouagadougou National from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, QUASAR AZULGRANA's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Smidts came free, but Ferrer Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Hipolito Goi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ariel Lorenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Jaddon having to interfere. With a little luck, FC Ouagadougou National's Ben Jaddon got control of the ball when Emiliano Orlondon tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernabe Efren was the one to do the kick off. Abdoulay Ali's late challenge caught a QUASAR AZULGRANA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdoulay Ali helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of FC Ouagadougou National:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of QUASAR AZULGRANA:s goal. In the 57th minute there was a penalty for QUASAR AZULGRANA. Hipolito Goi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ben Jaddon. 1-3. After 61 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Smidts. In the 62nd minute, Ariel Lorenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Orlondon during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes QUASAR AZULGRANA got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Orlondon. FC Ouagadougou National's Ben Jaddon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Efren in the 70th minute of play. Ben Jaddon came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by QUASAR AZULGRANA's Bernabe Efren. But to his dismay, Bernabe Efren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After 75 played minutes QUASAR AZULGRANA got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Orlondon. Ben Jaddon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Goi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Cayetano Mon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Jaddon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 played minutes QUASAR AZULGRANA got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Etxekopar. After a rather tough play, QUASAR AZULGRANA's Cornelio Berriotxoa got a free kick in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in QUASAR AZULGRANA's zone, Karl Roeckeloos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferrer Arias came out of the goal and Karl Roeckeloos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Camilo Lehoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernabe Efren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 minutes, Joel Vrijdags mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ouagadougou National and the QUASAR AZULGRANA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joel Vrijdags kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
