Spectators: 7654 (Terracing: 5742, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 152) Sandro Fonseca came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by October 04's Pedro Paulo Paes. But to his dismay, Pedro Paulo Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 11 played minutes October 04 got a freekick which was hit by João Gonçalves. Sandro Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Carlos Tasso in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Barbosa in the 25th minute of play forced October 04's goalkeeper Narciso Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Sandro Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Paulo Paes. 29 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Aguiar came free, but Sandro Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Orlando Nóbrega got a free kick in the 34th minute. The long shot by Durvalino Albuquerque in the 35th minute really tested Sandro Fonseca's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Narciso Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Sandro Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Wilian Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Sandro Fonseca got control of the ball when Horácio Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Orlando Nóbrega got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Nóbrega was the one to do the kick off. Geraldo Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Sandro Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Pedro Paulo Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot. October 04's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Paulo Paes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Orlando Nóbrega got a free kick in the 64th minute. Horácio Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Fonseca having to interfere. With an all-out effort, 20 DE SETEMBRO's Narciso Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Orlando Nóbrega, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Narciso Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 DE SETEMBRO's Sandro Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Paes in the 75th minute of play. Orlando Nóbrega hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Pedro Paulo Paes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Orlando Nóbrega took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Narciso Guimarães to make any attempt to save it. Sandro Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Paes in the 93rd minute of the match. Pedro Paulo Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sandro Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes 20 DE SETEMBRO got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Corrêa. In the 98th minute Horácio Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. October 04 had won after a very even match.
