Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Seco in the 7th minute of the match. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Çeliker Barbaros hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mané Garrinchinha got free with Sonny Alén in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergen Tanaltay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Augusto Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eusébio Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Alén having to interfere. In the 26th minute Eusébio Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sermet Yalgın's late challenge caught a Błαck Bułłs MZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sermet Yalgın helped the player get up and apologised. Sermet Yalgın hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrianinho Zanette in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Alén saved Bornova from getting behind. Augusto Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artun Kaçan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bornova's Sonny Alén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Garrinchinha in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Błαck Bułłs MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabius Cannavaro to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Bornova were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Bornova booed when Błαck Bułłs MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mané Garrinchinha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Błαck Bułłs MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Puyol to maneuver through the defense. Şeref Onatkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Błαck Bułłs MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Sermet Yalgın came free, but Augusto Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st play minute Şeref Onatkan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Augusto Pereira. 0-2. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Halit Tokgöz hit a great ball. In the 75th minute of the match Agnaldo Vinhas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sonny Alén skillfully saved the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Sermet Yalgın had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Pereira. Błαck Bułłs MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sermet Yalgın was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Augusto Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artun Kaçan in the 82nd minute of play. Augusto Pereira was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Artun Kaçan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Artun Kaçan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Mustafa Anıl Ruknettin hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute Eusébio Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Błαck Bułłs MZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bornova's performance. The match ended with a win for Bornova.
