They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elliott Klemensson made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Los Andes's Teodosio Urre got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 52nd minute Ludwig Bock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Ramone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Tohias in the 57th minute of play forced The Shadows's goalkeeper Östen Röd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Damian Ramone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Munio in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Östen Röd saved The Shadows from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Munio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Östen Röd was relentless in the 96th minute of the game.
